Mailboats 2008: Hirta

Collaboration with Morag MacInnes

This project was initiated by Hansel Cooperative and involved a collaboration between six poets and six visual artists across Orkney and Shetland.

Six poems were sent to sea in flotation devices created by the artists. The poems were launched from Pilot Us off Outer Skerries Shetland, and recovered on various beaches during the following months.

Only one poem was lost without trace.
